A MLS team isn't going to save Detroit.

You want open pyramid, people say build up lower leagues. Yet in doing so MLS comes into your market and shits all over what you've built.

Basically a group has been formed in an attempt to build a club for MLS. There is a long way to go yet. It makes sense for MLS to be interested in a Detroit club as there is a population of around 5 million people in the Detroit metro area with a sizable Middle Eastern contingent, I believe the largest Middle Eastern population in the US.

He would be par for the course

The MLS strategy at times is so sketchy it's almost as if all these owners in other leagues have gotten together to do this just to keep soccer second tier and not a threat to traditional American sports leagues.

Ehh them being shitty owners doesn't make them bad businessmen. They aren't going to invest so heavily in to something hoping it will fail.

Giving them away! They are bull dozing them in Detroit. At least land would be cheap (or free) for a big soccer complex.
