700 Milli

quote:

The $117 million per year average is more valuable than the current TV deal which averages $90 per year.

quote:

$117 million per year is nearly five-fold increase over the $25 million per year that Adidas was reportedly paying under previous agreement.

Will expire right before the World Cup on home soil. Should bring in a much bigger pay day then.

So they essentially paid the entire MLS the same amount as they do United.

How? Man U is bigger than MLS right now. I don't think that's going to hurt anyone's feelings. It doesn't mean this isn't another step forward for the league.

Ok? I still don't think that's shitting on the OP and shouldn't detract from what's still a positive day for MLS.

I don't know about you, but I'd rather be paid the same as United instead of 1/5th the amount United gets

Or hinge on the fact they can actually legally negotiate it

At least MLS won't have fricking Tinder on their kits.

Those numbers are pretty encouraging. Getting 4.68 times as much money per year after 7 years is pretty useful. Hopefully the trend continues for the next deal.

As a league its still not there

baby steps tho. I wish the clubs could negotiate their own kit deal. But well franchise system going to franchise system.
