The worst player I've ever seen play for Celtic. He made it only a few matches before Celtic cancelled the loan and sent him back to ManU.

Wut he was gone all season he never came back from the loan. Celtic just didn't play him.

Williams wins it

I watch a lot of MLS, and I can say Lodeiro and Dempsey are far more technical players than anyone playing for these two teams.

The championship is still a more technical league. And those two look even better in MLS bc the level of competition

Btw Danny Williams is very technical

Williams' technique is ok. He didn't impress me today but I would like to see him start to break through more with the national team.

ETA: championship has more depth than MLS but the starting 11s are pretty comparable. I've never been that impressed by championship games I've watched. Every once in a while they get a nice flowing passing movement going, but then again so do MLS teams.

I've watched him a decent amount both in England and Germany. He is technical and very composed on the ball getting out of tight spaces when pressed.

He should be a top option playing DM or holding mid for the national team.

Stop it not even close just bc a few teams have some over priced DP's.

LA the last few years starting 11 would compare but that's about it. Wright Phillips dominants the league but struggled in league one.

The difference in the level of defending alone shows the gap between the two leagues.

When Arsenal played Reading in the FA cup he was clearly their best player, and honestly one of the best players on the field.

Clint Dempsey is struggling this year but dominated the EPL in 2012. Guess MLS is better than EPL.

This is probably where the most noticeable difference in the leagues lie.

That was four years ago while in his prime

that comes down to coaching at the youth level development

The English lower leagues are full of players who went through top level youth set ups

Then comparing BWP in his prime to early in his career seems equally asinine, doesn't it?

And the English national team is still terrible

The US will win a world cup before England wins their next one. Book it.

No shite. Roy had to go because what he did didn't work on the big stage. So Fat Sam comes in....and changes virtually nothing. They were incredibly lucky to beat Slovakia at the death. They'll go through qualifying again, looking like world beaters. Then the group stage in Russia will come and they'll be donkey balls. World keeps on spinning.

It's comparing someone in different stages of their career playing in different leagues with different results.

And it's reflected in the tactical play of the EPL, and the Championship on down.
