On the plus side, we'll have a +12 GD advantage over Guatemala. To not advance, we'd have to lose to T&T and have Guatemala kill St. Vincent.

True. As a data analyst I prefer certainties haha.

But yeah no way they are making up 12 goals. Then again they do play St. Vincent at home...

I'm going to the game on Tuesday so at least this game will have some meaning.

Awesome.

Hopefully Pulisic, Nagbe, Morris,Wood, and Kljestan all start. We should beat T&T pretty easily at home.

Do you guys think playing Mexico at home in November is a good thing, or would you rather that Columbus match be later? Gotta keep the Dos a Cero magic going.

Columbus weather is shite in November. But it doesn't matter when they play Mexico in Columbus because it is DOSaCeroville. Messicans hate Columbus.

Hopefully it's nasty sleety weather. Mexican players would hate that.

Completely offtopic:

In an FA Cup qualifying round match, this was the scoreline:

South Park 2 - 1 Dorking Wanderers

So why does US suck against the world... I've been thinking and yes we don't have the training and most of our most athletic players play other sports. However, we still have SEVERAL players who would be the most athletic but they don't seem to be a team, is it because unlike other countries they don't start playing together at a young age?

Several are athletic but is it a skill issue because we don't start honing those skills at an early age like in Europe?

Pretty much. We're always one of the more athletic teams, just lacking in youth development.

That is some thinking we've been working at, I know in Texas they have several MLS and Premier League sponsored leagues. These are in order to prepare youth, so should we see US challenging in the next 6-10 years?

I think we're already seeing improvement with the U-20 kids.

Yeah. If you watch a lot, you'll notice that American players aren't struggling because they aren't athletic. That hasn't been the problem.

Well I've been watching games on TV since 5he last World Cup. So not as long as others but still. At the last world cup the Americans did fairly well but they've struggled as key players got older and they don't have players ready to step in.

Our 23-29 age group is kind of bare.
