Groups C and D completed today and we'll have a much clearer picture of that third-place table.

Group C will set the tone for sure. I believe if Northern Ireland lose, that secures a birth for Slovakia.

Luka Modric will not play for Croatia against Spain which stinks because I expect more defensive approach (like Slovakia) especially since they are already on four points. Big chance for Czech Republic if they get a win, assuming Turkey continue playing like shite.

TV and iPad ready. Have PIP capability but refuse to give up 70 inches of football. #spoiledproblems

I have a weird hunch given the advancement scenarios in Group C we stand a real chance of a double 0-0.

Germany XI vs Northern Ireland: Neuer, Höwedes, Boateng, Hummels, Hector, Khedira, Kroos, Müller, Özil, Götze, Gomez.

Gomez in for Draxler and I have to say it's overdue for Germany to put the actual striker at the top of the formation.

Northern Ireland XI vs Germany: McGovern, Hughes, Cathcart, McAuley, J.Evans, McNair, Davis, C.Evans, Ward, Dallas, Washington.

Lafferty remains out of the lineup.

Good chance early for Lewa after a nice ball from Milik but he put it high and wide of the top corner with Pyatov beaten.

If Kimmich plays well at RB, he'll probably stay there for the rest of the tournament. Germany needs better players going forward at that spot. Beni Howedes isn't that guy.

Great ball by Özil, but a very good save. Hummels doing the job on the other end too as that break looked very dangerous by NIR.

I firmly expected some sit back in both games, but good attacking intent by all 4 teams so far.
