Huge away win for Iran gives them the early edge for probably that second spot behind South Korea (though Iran is top for now) and China still not quite there yet after losing at home to Syria. Probably be one more cycle before they are contending seriously to get to the World Cup again.

Japan left it late but got the home win this time against Iraq. Australia away to Saudi Arabia could be a bit of a toss up. Part of me still wants to see Iran vs Iraq in the Asia playoff.

Costa very lucky to be taken off the pitch by a sub, and not by a second yellow for being a complete idiot.

Completely baffles me how he continues to get away with this shite. Does he put a gun to the ref's head before each game.

Ref allows Costa to stay on, then nearly blows a Penalty call. That would have been a bad one.

Ecuador already taking it to Chile. That's a big match for positioning.
