What was off on the first goal? I only saw a few seconds in the gif of the great shot. Was the offside in the lead up?

Yes a player was maybe an inch offside, the ball was cleared from the box and then dude hit a stunner. If it wouldn't have gone in no one would have even mentioned it.

It was an awesome goal. It was in the lead up. It's a small margin but offside nonetheless. Every commented on BT agreed. When frozen it was clear that the guy receiving the ball on the left near the box (the ball was kind of high in the air) was offside.

Oh okay. Always disappointing with an incorrect offside call. I wasn't able to watch any matches today but sounded like Chelsea had one wrongly called with just the players arm past the defender. Always a tough call for the ref and the fans of both teams.

Are you saying since Costas arm was in an offside position it should have been called offside? I know there are some people on this board who don't know the details of offside, hoping you're not one of them.

Arms don't count since they aren't part of the body you can play the ball with.

No I'm saying it shouldn't have been called. I'm not sure if it was or not since I wasn't watching the game, just reading updates. Some of those updates were saying it was called at one point.
