There are reports coming out of Chile of a Manchester United offer for Arturo Vidal. Newspaper El Mercurio says that United have tabled a bid of around €30million with Juventus for the midfielder, plus the chance to take Javier Hernandez. However, it is reported that Juventus have no intention of accepting the proposal after making it clear all summer that they wish to keep Vidal.

Vidal for about 25 million and Di Maria for around 40 make it happen.

If you guys were on the fringe of City and Chelsea....di Maria puts you right up there with them.

ESPN confirming that Di Maria deal is close. Also reporting that United are confident in signing Blind as well (bottom paragraph):

Di Maria will dominate the Premier League. Different position obviously, but I'm thinking he will be close to Suarez good.

He is gonna make RVP and Rooney that much better....his creativity won the CL last year basically of which CR7 pretty much rode to the goal record.

Im all tingly inside

quote:

As soon as Di Maria knew of Manchester United’s interest he was very excited about the possibility of coming to Old Trafford. At first Paris Saint-Germain showed interest in singing him and said they were prepared to meet his wage demands of 8m Euros a year net but the deal offered by United was much more interesting to him.

"Firstly, United is a club with much more prestige throughout Europe, and secondly, it’s a new project where he knows he will be one of the leaders. Cristiano Ronaldo has also told him some great things about United and has succeeded in persuading him that it is a good option even though the club is not playing in Europe this season.

"He is also very excited about the prospect of working with manager Louis van Gaal and everyone is expecting that the deal will be closed soon.

Piss off PSG

LvG is trying to kill us all.

@RobDawsonMEN
Van Gaal asked whether he likes Di Maria. "Yes, but I like Messi, also. I like Vidal, also."

Van Gaal: "I cannot say anything about transfers. It's not only Di Maria. Maybe Vidal or Messi. We are a big club."
