Germany failed to read the match. Above all, failed, big time, to convert glaring chances.

I'll freely admit that Germany missed out on good goal scoring chances. No clue why Podolski took that PK. His adrenaline seemed to be out of control the entire match. Not too mention the chance we had where we knocked one off the top bar and then bicycle kicked it right to a defender.......all while the Goalie pulled himself some 30 feet away from goal.

But having your only striker sent off really trashes your offensive plans.

Germany still should have at least scored. They had the better chances and were a bit unlucky with Khedira hitting the post. No clue what the frick was up with Podolski though.

He was way to pumped up for this game. You could really see it right before the PK. They did a close up on his face as he was lining up and he had this evil assed grin on it like he already scored.

Podolski had literally just missed two good chances, so I didn't think it was that shocking when he missed the PK.

check my comments on the game thread. all of germany looked really confident. not bullshite cocky confident, but seriously we know what we're about confident. i didn't see that in podolski. then again, i was amazed with the faces of the serbs, which weren't of fear, but certainly not of bravado as well, it was like , what will be, will be.

Today, Findley got a yellow card off a phantom hand ball. (It hit his head). He won't play in the next game.

I just the replay on this! My question was he kicked out this game?

No, but he will be suspended for the Algeria match after acquiring two yellow cards in consecutive matches.

Podolski was horrible. 7 shots and one on goal.

If that camera had rolled another half second, you could see Jozy getting mugged.

Where the hell is the nexus between Podolski and Jozy?

No reason to double post. Just responding to two comments in the thread.
