The best way?

Find a ball you like.
Bring it to a cashier.
Give said cashier currency. Cashier gives you ball.
Play with you new ball.

The best way is to go to a store and check them out. I wouldn't buy one online until I've seen it in person. Once you know what you want, you can do a little bargain shopping on the internet

The Brine NCAA editions are usually pretty solid sub $100.

This is my answer too. They have the best feel of any ball I've ever used.

This is an important purchase

@OP, you haven't limited yourself too much, but personally, I'd just buy a random Select ball and kick it against the wall if it felt plasticky

Select is best for the money. But don't spend anywhere near $100 unless you like throwing money away. I stopped buying balls at all years ago.

This. I was brine and select until a few years ago. All select now. Brine has gone down a bit since their merger
