No shite. My next door neighbor walked out of his house the other day sporting an old Italy jersey. Dude knows nothing about the sport but he is italian so I guess he is a fan of the Azzurri every 4 years.

I almost put in there (because this has been my experience) that Italian Americans who support the Italians actually go out of their way to be derisive about the USMNT and root AGAINST us.

Do you think that's an accurate statement?

That's solely why I rank the Italian Americans as the worst of the European soccer fans - lumped in with the Mexicos, Honduras', etc.

When did the Azzuri face the USA? I must have missed the match.

Honduras

From my personal experience (2 US/Honduras games), Honduras has a pretty good group of fans.

Actually, my experiences with Mexican fans haven't really been that bad.

I don't see why you can't be a fan of both teams.

I'm Italian and I would never root for them over the USMNT. Hell, my grandfather was born in Italy and he still cheers for the US.

I'm equally a fan of Germany and USA. Really did not want them to play this weekend. Just escaped that.

I have no problem with it either. My mom being from Honduras I pull for Honduras whenever they are not playing USA. Most people have a second of third team they like... just don't pull for them over USA is all I'm saying.

Just to be fair, they did win the last World Cup.

It is funny to see the "big teams" go out though.

They sucked moose crank in this tournament.

Family there and spent a ton of time over there. And I also played quite a few pick-up games with one of their best players.
