Just having a young player like that, to build off of up the middle through our spine, its a breath of fresh air.

Im pretty sure John Brooks just headed another dangerous cross away while laughing at Amy Wambach.

John Brooks is having a special tournament. That 3-on-1 was godly. His positioning and how easily he shifted his weight to stay on top of shite was godly. You can't ask literally any more of a CB in that situation. The kid is a special player. He's still young, but I can see him anchoring this squad for a very, very long time.

i can't see how his performacne so far doesn't get him looks at bigger clubs

i mean obviously he's not going 2014 James out there, but he's a CB and isn't on that level

but yeds got a shot at a major EPL team for basically being fast in 2014

he's fricking DOMINATED so far. he was even really great against the colombia attack

He was absolutely dominant today, and has been solid all tournament. Has all the potential to be one of the best CBs USA has ever had.

He's been with Hertha since 2011 and this has been his best season. He'll get the attention soon.

No, not today. I just find it humorous that a "true blooded" american athlete with the surname of Wambach thinks that players with the surnames of "Brooks, Johnson, Williams, Boyd et" are not worthy or shouldnt be considered for the USMNT becasue of her silly thinking.

The irony is real.

Oguchi Onyewu's performance against Spain in 2009 got a slow, technically deficient CB a transfer to AC Milan.

I remember what she said 6 months ago, but I watched the game at a bar last night so I didn't know of she said something before, during, or after the game.
