quote:

"There has been a lot of chatter about a so-called 'lost generation' with regard to our current players, and how they should be so much better than the generation before them and they're not and blah blah blah blah blah blah," Conrad said.

"Which for me, even if there was just a little bit of truth to it, just an itsy bitsy ... It's still a total cop-out, [expletive] excuse for the coach as he continues to under-perform at his job."
quote:

"The guy in charge gives mixed messages, plays guys out of position, throws players under the bus in the press after the game, never starts the same lineup twice in a row, and never holds himself accountable."

Full rant here.

Conradinho the GOAT

ETA: I wrote a column calling for Klinsmann's head after the Mexico loss, and Jurgen is still making my arguments sound rational.

Don't discount for a minute that players aren't seeing, hearing, and thinking the same things we are. Including some players on the team. I don't think there are many (or any) that are Jurgy guys.

I agree with this. I bet a guy like Bradley knows better than to talk openly about these things, but is smart enough to be completely frustrated with the coach. I would LOVE to be able to hear those phone conversations with Daddy Bob. I bet they are RICH

Donovan said earlier today that after talking to players on the team, they don't have any confidence. They just don't don't what they are supposed to do.

Is this different from the quote that was posted in that other thread?

No. I wrote for The Reveille for fun in college. It was enjoyable to write some hot takes on a regular basis.

I also had the opportunity to do some freelance stuff for a few other outlets (small local stuff), but I hung it up when a graduated a few months ago. I just have always enjoyed writing.

Shaka Hislop believes Jurgy has lost the players through his squad selection methods and his words.

"The sense I get, and I talk to a lot of the players, is that there's no confidence because there's no stability," said Donovan.

He also said this morning that Jurgen should be fired if we don't win. That was on the Dan Patrick show.
