Monk is a damn fine manager. No clue why Swansea fired him.

But reading it is just self-defeating. Why would you want to read or listen to peoples' comments if they're being critical? It's a bit like social media, which I'm not on, either. So if you see somebody say they're Mick McCarthy on Twitter -- or 'Twatter,' as I like to call it -- then it's not me."

Correct however,

He definitely deserved to be fired

Why exactly? I'm sure there were some mitigating circumstances as well that I'm not aware of, but the 1 win in 12 games stretch seemed to me to be the growing pains of a young manager.

Leeds is on quite a heater. Have the "we are going up" chants started yet?

His first season was amazing and he showed what he could do as a manager. The huge dip in form was the major reason for his being let go. He got us away from "the Swansea Way" and you haven't seen that come back either. And there has always been rumors that he basically led a locker room coup to overthrow Laudrup and become manager in the first place.

The man is a club legend but his short time ran up. He did spend time after that learning from other clubs to improve his skills as a manager which is why you are seeing the improvement in this Leeds side as well. It's hard to let someone learn on the job in the premier league when so much is on the line

Wasn't the team split into two cliques?

That's a legitimate reason, but I think Monk would have adapted given the specter of relegation.
