General Consensus is that Jurgen will not be fired, right?

He bombed out the Gold Cup and was not fired.

We made it to the semifinals but got embarrassed in the Copa America. (32% possession, no shots, gave up 4 goals)

Based off of recent history, I think there is a 90% chance he stays on. I'm not saying its right or wrong, just want to know what everyone thinks.

Don't follow this too closely but are there other legitimate options to replace him at this point?

I don't know much about all this and I see a lot of people are unhappy with the job JK has done, just curious as to what options the US realistically have at the moment?

He was on board for two WC cycles the whole time. They are not going to fire the future technical director.

Not a chance he will be fired, short of some scandal. He'll be here through 2018 at least.

He stated that our goal for this tournament was to make the semifinals, which we accomplished.

We were blown out and we're all once again left wondering if the US is actually any better off under Klinsmann, but nevertheless, we accomplished the goal and he will stay on.

if you like klinsy, the Copa was full of positives and 'tina was just too good.

if you hate klinsy, the Copa was full of shaky play and questionable decisions and a continued lack of attacking threat becoming the norm.

i think its pretty clear that, after missing the Confed Cup, Sunil is caught inbetween these positions, and would have needed a real disaster to sack klinsmann.

I just see no major improvement from Bruce Arena and Bob Bradley, besides having a much deeper talent pool from the arena days. At least with them you knew what we were going to do, and they didn't make excuses for it. (that I remember anyways).

It will take almost being mathematically eliminated during the Hex or actually not qualifying to get him fired.

No way Jurgen gets fired and if he does looks for the USMNT to take a step back. Yesterday's performance was awful, I will agree, but we are making great strides as far as improvement goes. That coupled with the fact that we had 3 players out who could have made a huge difference, I think Jurgen will be fine.
