The Real Madrid C. F. president, Florentino Pérez, will hold a press conference at 7:30pm CET this evening in the Santiago Bernabéu following the Board meeting.

Media outlets wishing to attend the event must present the appropriate professional accreditation from their media outlet, at gate no.59 of the stadium on Calle Padre Damián, from 6:15pm CET onwards.

Rafa gone?

Update: "We have analysed the sports situation. Real Madrid coach Rafa Benitez has all our support and trust," Perez said.

Real Madrid must be a miserable organization to work for.

Sacking Carlo to hire Rafa is truly one of the stupidest decisions you could possibly make.

Rafa is safe. Ronny is coming home. It's a Thanksgiving week miracle.

Their whole system is fricked

Not sure how many more beatdowns from Barca it will take for them to learn they need to re-evaluate things

So what was the point of the presser? I don't follow the Liga that close but I haven't seen any rumors of him being fired or anything.

Forgive my ignorance if I'm just totally out of the loop.

Think he basically just said they still support Benitez

But he did the same thing at the end of last season after Ancelotti lost a couple matches in a row if I remember correctly

Oh I thought this press conference was about Perez announcing he was firing himself. RM would be better off without him.

Carragher on El Clasico
quote:

"That's not a team Rafa would pick," he said on Monday Night Football.

"Either the people above him have got involved or maybe he's bowed to media pressure or the players, I just don't know.
quote:

"You look at the team and he's not gone in with a holding midfield player - Rafa would normally play two. His best player this season has been Casemiro and he's left him out.

Former Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti says Zinedine Zidane has everything required to become a top coach in the future, and even has the ability to take on the main job at the Bernabeu "today."

Didn't Zidane come out not too long ago saying he didn't want the job, at least not yet? I may be imagining it but I'll see if I can find a link

LINK

quote:

“I am coach of Castilla and Benítez of the first team. Things are fine at the moment,” Zidane is reported as saying. “I am with Castilla and if I stay at the club it is the coach of Castilla. Last year, at the end of the season, I had the feeling that I still lacked something to take over the first team.”

More coach speak it looks like
