It's more about the AI logic not signing players OR selling them before they reach that point. I feel like you could get guys a lot cheaper on 17 if they had 1 year left to avoid losing them on a free. Especially with the new, 24/7 transfer negotiations,clubs should be willing to take less as the window approaches. Btw, is there a way to buy a player immediately if they only have 6 months left? You could in 17, but I think the only option I had in 18 is to negotiate a pre-contract.

Gio was the sbc reward last year, so i doubt theyd do him again, tho that would dope. Villa also makes sense, but i think they do a mls mvp sbc so if its him, dont think theyd do him double.

Contracts in general are just dumb. You can get any player to join your club if you're paying what they're asking. I don't feel as bad about signing top players now because I'm in first in the league and stuff.
But if you somehow free up the funds, you could sign Eriksen while you're just coming from the Championship as long as you pay similar to what other teams would.
ETA: I've also yet to have someone come to me and say they're homesick or they want to leave at the end of their contract. As long as I meet their demands in renegotiations, they'll sign a new deal with me. Did they do away with unsettled players in this game?

I fired up a career mode, finally, a while back and got some time to settle in with it over the last two weeks.
I'm at Fulham with the goal of "Making Fulhamerica Great Again." In the January window, I'm currently running away with tGOATpionship relegation thanks to my tried-and-true 3-4-3 false nine base.
Here are the moves I've made so far, with the last two coming early in the January window (after MLS season, obvs) to shore up some of the depth issues I had with a couple of long-term injuries.
GK Francis Uzoho (19 y/o, 6'5", 82 POT) from RC Deportivo for $3 million
CM Jonathan Gonzalez (18 y/o, American, 80 POT) from Monterrey for $4 million
CB Axel Tuanzebe (20 y/o, 73 OVR, 83 POT) from Manchester United on 2-year loan
CB Erik Palmer-Brown (20 y/o, American, 82 POT) from Sporting KC for $1 million
RW Jack Harrison (21 y/o, basically American, 70 OVR, 84 POT) from NYCFC for $5 million
I sold some dead weight and loaned out a few teenagers. Still have a lot of money in the bank, which will be helpful when we get relegated to tWOATmiership.

Can somebody please explain to me how they still haven't fixed fixture congestion? I'm playing the Europa League Final and the FA Cup Final 2 days apart.

Also, Aaron Mooy IF w/ a Shadow is sooooo OP. Had him for a week or so now and he is incredible.

Sporting KC has agreed to sell me EPB in November of my first year.
Clearly the deal won't go through until the xfer window.

Finished Season 3 with Leeds. Won the Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League. Lautaro Martinez finished with 34 goals in the league. This year I'm going to focus on the league and see if I can possibly go unbeaten. I've never done that before. I had a season on FIFA 16 where I think I won every possible trophy, but I didn't go unbeaten.

I really wanted Andre Silva and Naby Keita, but I couldn't afford it. Managed to get Dahoud and Alena for way under their value because they had release clauses. And I bought Tammy instead of Silva.
I had to sell Busquets and Pontus Jansson (started declining) and allocate all that money to wages to renegotiate contracts.

I was able to get Foden for £1 million but United wanted £5 million for Gomes
Also what’s up with not being able to put all my players on the loan list. Trying to get academy kids on loan and the option isn’t there.

Academy kids can’t be put up for loan if they haven’t been on the senior team for a month I believe. That or they have to be up for a transfer window before they can actually move. Can’t remember.
