So at the start of the 2018/19 season I've decided to resign from the US national team post because frick just playing friendlies (and seriously again frick EA for just randomly placing 2 of US, Mexico and Canada in the World Cup). I seem to recall they do have UEFA qualifiers? Is this right? Do they have the Euros as well? Was thinking it would be fun to take a good but not top tier European team like Croatia and see what I can do

I know they have Euros, and I'm almost 100 percent sure they have the right WC and continental qualifying system for Europe and maybe South America.

Last night I tried to match fix to get Liverpool relegated. Didn't work bc they ended up 2 points from the drop. All while being in the champions league final 
Also I finished 3rd. Bc of that the club got 113 million quid. My transfer budget the next year. A whopping 25 million. Lucky for me I brought in VVD, Silva and the LB from Valencia all in on frees. Sold some dead weight and bought CR7 for less than 20 million
But the old cheating computer struck again last night. A weak shot basically rolled to my GK. He went down to do a routine scoop, well nothing routine about it. The ball then falls out of my keepers hands and goes 10 feet left fast as shite to the other teams forwards feet. Who then proceeds to cross it to his teammate and puts it in an empty net.

Also has anyone had any luck getting players on a free during the summer. Once the season ends and it loads a new season. They are all gone either with their old team or on a new one. Giving you no chance to get them.

Sign them in the January window. On January 1 you can start to negotiate for them to "sign on contract expiry". Then on like July 1 they'll join your team.
In scouting you can setup one of the criteria to be 0-1 years left on contract so you can try to find these guys

That's what I usually do, but some guys don't re up their deals that last six months and it would be good to sign frees in the summer.

On the issue of scripting. I was winning an important game in manager mode very late (mid 80 min mark)when we had a brown out. I was winning by two goals. I had to replay the game and I refused to allow reasons beyond my control cause me to lose a game I should of won. I had to play the game at least six or seven times before I could win it. I would be up by one goal late and the computer would bang in two goals. I would dominate a game and not put in a goal and the computer would score with a minute left. It was frustrating.

Disappearing player-two ways to go missing...
The other day I experienced the invisible player the only thing showing was the placement arrow on him when I passed to him by accident... very weird.
Like any American I wanted to manage USMNT. In preparation for this I put my 5* 5* youth scout in the USA. I discovered a super prospect when he was 15. I watched him grow on my youth team. When he was 16 he was already 74 rated. I had read that to get the best results you need to try to get a player to 17 in the youth squad. I got the dreaded message late in the season that he had been lured away by an unknown club. First, I went back to my last save about 4 days prior and he rejected my offer. I tied it several times and it did not work. Next at the end of the season I searched for the player looking to keep and eye on him to by him back when the game allowed. The player was nowhere to be found.
Update coming soon on my Seattle Sounders in the Premier League.

When I jumped from the Championship to the PL the first year I got a whopping 25 mill budget. The second year I got a better budget.

So I have an American youth CDM who has "the potential to be special". Great defensive attributes to start off with in marking, interceptions, etc. This player will be good. BIG problem is that his defensive work rate is low so he's super talented but lazy as frick. Nice work, EA

FIFA 17/18 question. When doing a player career, something has always pissed me off about past games. They won't let you start the game on the bench, you either start or don't play. Have they changed this for 17 or 18?

Yeah the scripting is insane. Hopefully that's fixed on 18, but I may wait for feedback before purchasing.

I saw that. They have a Barstool Gaming Instagram that posts some hilarious gaming videos. Some epic FIFA shite where ball hits the post like 4 times before being cleared off the line. You know, things that would make you want to burn your house down
Had one of those games last night where if there were 2 players in the general direction of where I wanted to play the pass it would send it to the wrong guy every fricking time. It was infuriating.
