I will never accept that FUT Draft isn't rigged. Literally had perfect chemistry, played a solid, defensive formation, insane players (IF Sanchez and IF DeBruyne at LM and RM), and 97 Ronaldo coming off the bench. These cats? Running through me like it's nothing. Somehow the compact midfield I built decides to run all over the pitch.

Shoot... wait 2 seconds... start build up... get jacked. If my players won't make passes and take shots when I tell them to, I'm not sure how it's fair whatsoever.

I started a new career with Man United just bc I've never played with them in FIFA before. Got rid of Mata and am looking for a right winger. Going to try to mostly develop the youth. Thinking of playing a 4-3-3 with a high pressing style with Morgan in the middle and Herrera out right. Schweinsteiger doesn't have the stamina or work rate i like out of a midfielder so I may bring him off the bench and bring in a young CM.

I really want to do a Fiorentina career, but I don't really like starting out with a team already qualified for Europe.

If you're running a 4-3-3, I'd recommend going ahead and pushing Rooney back to the double pivot, although pairing him with Herrera miiiiight stretch you out too much. (But Herrera's defensive skills are fine, and Schneiderlin playing that CDM role will work.)

So if you play Martial/Rashford up top and Memphis/Martial on the left, you'll probably want an inverted winger on the RW, too. I'd look at Iuri Medeiros, Domenico Berardi, Kevin Volland or Nabil Fekir. Gabriel from Santos would be good, too, just have to develop him a bit more than the others.

Ah just saw this. I ended up signing Ricardo Rodriguez, Carlos Vela, and Moses Simon (who I immediately sent back out loan) and sold Fellaini (to Spurs who of course turned around and scored on me 2 minutes into my first game) and Mata to Monoco. Drew first game and beat Villa 2-0 in the second.

I'm really starting to hate this game. I can't score for shite anymore. My players don't make decent runs so I never have any semblance of flowing, attacking football. Where is the fun in that, if you can't even play the beautiful game? And when I finally do get decent chances, the computer goes all super Neuer on me and then beats me on a Hail Mary ball into the box that their guy heads off the post, or my goalie trips on himself and the ball goes right to their guy for a tap in, or my centerbacks decide they would rather give each other handies instead of marking their man in the box.

Guess I'm getting knocked out of the Europa league. Whatever. It would be nice if I didn't have to try to stay up in the bundesliga in my first year after promotion with a starting budget of 1.5 million and 7k in salary. Seriously frick this game. And frick EA. I've even tried to use various sliders to make the game more enjoyable, to little avail.

I haven't played offline in a couple of weeks... Did they patch this game recently? I've seen a good deal of complaints.

My guys can't pass for shite and through balls still blow. So many promising attacking movements die by no fault of my own. It makes me hate this game. Definitely has felt less fun lately.

I won my first game in the Bund 6-3. I did fine for a few games. Then all of a sudden I can't score and I'm losing games to fricking Rosenberg.

Tottenham's draw today reminded me so much of this game. A late-match one-touch shot placed perfectly into the top corner to equalize, followed by the big club that's at home playing for the draw the rest of the match. This of course would set me into a FIFArage if it cost me a shot at the title and I'd spend the rest of the match frantically lining up vicious slide tackles. But since I'm smart about how I spread them out and I only connect on vicious slide tackles from the side and never from behind, no one gets sent off. The only thing missing was Spurs players sprinting behind Diego Costa and attempting and failing multiple slide tackles from behind before finally catching him.

i didn't have internet last weekend for long stretches so i started a career mode. there are some major glitches that are pissing me off. i get emails saying a particular youth academy player wants out, i sign that player, and then i find out 2 days later another player was angry and i had no clue. i've lost 1/3 of my academy (first year with an academy so it's not big) because of this

on FUT i got to division 2 with my EPL squad and frick division 2. i either played all super teams or THE most aggressive teams. it's just crazy shite. slide tackles from outside their own 18 are so powerful that the ball ends up to midfield right as their team is in full charge. they foul a frick ton (the new patches seem to have limited the cards on fouls, which i don't mind, but it just plays into the hands of the aggro teams). it seems every dislodging ends up with a 20+ yard through ball. if it hits, they're free with a 3-on-2 with super-speedy offensive players. it's not high percentage, but they'll get 3-4 almost wide open chances per game b/c the volume is so high

i'm not some great FUT player but it's just ridiculous. even if you play back and counter, the super through balls over and over again will eventually get a goal

I got promoted to division 7 yesterday with my cheap la liga squad. Been trying to find cheap in forms in spots I need.

So I got tired of the rebuilding projects on FIFA for a little bit and decided to hop back to my Kaiserslautern save. After clinching the league title, I notice that Manchester United was in fifth and looking for a manager. I applied and got the job, took it with two matches left in the season, and got them up to fourth place.

United's roster was bloated with ridiculous depth at some positions and absolutely nothing at others, so I cleaned house. Lots of sales, lots of cash + player deals. I ended up "spending" nearly $200 million in the window while "selling" something around $160 million.

So here is the Manchester United squad that I'm currently running with right now.

*Smith is a youth academy goalkeeper I developed behind my boy Delgado that I snapped up to back up De Gea for relatively cheap. He's 6'6" and has stupid good reflexes.

**Not pictured on the bench is CM Renato Sanches (83 OVR, no picture on Futhead) and ST Marcus Rashford (77 OVR, no picture on Futhead).

——————————————————————————————————————

I also took the United States manager job because it's just before the 2022 World Cup, and I generated a ridiculous amount of USMNT prospects at Kaiserslautern, in addition to developing Julian Green and Aron Johannsson into stars.

So here is the current 23-man roster for friendlies less than a year away from the 2022 World Cup. (I'm running a 3-5-2.)

STARTERS
ST: Rubio Rubin (79 OVR, 25 y/o, at PSV Eindhoven)
ST: Julian Green (82 OVR, 26 y/o, at FC Kaiserslautern)
CAM: Christian Pulisic (77 OVR, 23 y/o, at Borussia Dortmund)
LWB: Danny Delgado (81 OVR, 21 y/o, at FC Kaiserslautern) [Adam's brother!]
CDM: Kellyn Acosta (78 OVR, 26 y/o, at FC Dallas)
CDM: Michael Bradley (79 OVR, 34 y/o, at Toronto FC)
RWB: DeAndre Yedlin (81 OVR, 28 y/o, at Manchester United)
LCB: John Brooks (82 OVR, 28 y/o, at Everton)
CB: Matt Miazga (80 OVR, 26 y/o, at Chelsea)
RCB: Andrew Farrell (77 OVR, 29 y/o, at NYCFC)
GK: Adam Delgado (82 OVR, 24 y/o, at Juventus) [Kaiserslautern sold him QUICKLY after I left]

RESERVES
ST: Aron Johannsson (79 OVR, 31 y/o, at FC Kaiserslautern)
CAM: Tommy Thompson (77 OVR, 26 y/o, at San Jose)
CM: Darlington Nagbe (78 OVR, 31 y/o, at Crystal Palace)
LWB: Tim Maund (76 OVR, 21 y/o, at FC Kaiserslautern)
CDM: Wil Trapp (77 OVR, 28 y/o, at Bayern Munich) [another weirdly quick Kaiserslautern sale]
CB: Erik Palmer-Brown (74 OVR, 24 y/o, at Sporting KC)
GK: Bill Hamid (75 OVR, 30 y/o, at DC United)
ST: Tim Toia (75 OVR, 22 y/o, at Colorado Rapids) [Dempsey regen, I think]
CM: Emerson Hyndman (76 OVR, 25 y/o, at Hamburg)
CB: Ike Opara (74 OVR, 32 y/o, at Sporting KC)
CB: Matt Hedges (75 OVR, 31 y/o, at FC Dallas)
GK: Drew Smith (73 OVR, 21 y/o, at Manchester United)

I definitely feel like I can wreck shop with this team at the World Cup.
