Seeing a Jamaican captain the Premier League champions?

Seeing Wes Morgan lift the trophy just put that game last summer into perspective. As bad as we were, which was indeed bad, maybe Jamaica wasn't a pushover after all....

I don't think this is going to end well for you.

One player does not make a team automatically better than us unless than man is Ronaldo, Messi, or Riyad Mahrez.

I was at that game, and nothing will ever ease my disappointment at that debacle.

Me too. How fricking great/horrific/corrupt was the Mexico-Panama match? There are so many amazing things that did not make it on TV. The cooler being thrown on the field, the Panama player punting multiple balls into the seats, etc.

Again, I know we were bad. We were bad the whole tournament and it was embarrassing.

It was a full on meltdown when we lost to Jamaica, and rightfully so. It's not so much disappointment in the Gold Cup anymore for me as it's disappointment that Jamaica has a BPL champion Captain while our only glimmer of hope is a 18 year old coming off the bench at Dortmund.

Apart from Mark Geiger giving a spot in the finals to Mexico, what else happened?

Unruly shite by Mexican fans throwing everything and the Panama essentially refusing to play because of protest and fear of the fans. The Mexican keeper had to walk a red carded Panama player off the pitch to avoid him getting pelted. The highlight was when one Panama player was so pissed off with everything that he asked for a ball from a ball girl on the sidelines and just punted into the stands. He did that three times in a row and they just keeping feeding him balls to punt. One of the team coolers was thrown all over the pitch. A cat ran across the field at one point. It was amazing, but it seemed somewhat dangerous for non-Mexicans.

Yeah, I thought I wasn't going to get out of there without some sort of bodily injury. It was a beautiful disaster.

We almost beat Portugal with Ronaldo.

I'd say we should still be able to beat Jamaica's other 10, plus Ronaldo. Much less Wes Morgan.

I guarantee you that nobody went into the Gold Cup saying "OH GOD - LOOK OUT FOR DARREN MATTOCKS AND JERMAINE TAYLOR!"

That dude punting three consecutive balls into the stands was the greatest thing I've ever seen

People took my post seriously? I thought it was pretty obvious it was a joke.
