There was somebody on BigSoccer and Saintsreport claiming to have the inside scoop that NOLA was the next MLS destination. A good laugh to say nonetheless.

Good to see the south getting some teams. Hopefully it sticks.

St. Louis deserves a team as much as anyone. Great soccer fans up there. It really is unfortunate.

It sucks. The Ambush indoor team draws 6-7k.

The bottom line is no one locally has stepped up since we were turned down before by the MLS.

A team here would be supported very well but owning an MLS franchise qt this point is a money sink, especially with the 100 mil expansion fee.

It sucks but who am I to tell someone that they should just throw away their money.

I don't know why Anheuser-Busch doesn't step up to the plate.

Man how I wish the League could buy Chivas and rebrand them to either Atlanta or Minneapolis (whichever one doesn't get the 24th team), or St. Louis, I suppose.

Well, they're half way there.....too bad they are hell bent on keeping 2 teams in LA.

AB isn't even a United States company anymore let alone a locally owned St Louis company.

There was some buzz about the Cardinals owners looking into a franchise but the expansion fee couple with cost of SS stadium and the return on investment. The revenue trajectory for the MLS would look at 20+ years before breaking even.

Who knows. The only slim hope now is Kroenke, the Rams owner, keeping the Rams in town and building a dual purpose stadium to host the Rams ans an MLS team or building a separate SS stadium in a larger sports complex that includes a stadium for the Rams.

Doesn't really make a difference. Not like Red Bull is based out of New York, or American.

True but St Louis isn't New York either.

I'm resigned to the fact we will not have a team. I'm tired of hearing news about MLS expansion and dealing with the inner butt hurt that always follows.

I'm just going to enjoy being an SKC fan. Been following the team for a long time.

It is what it is, it's just a shame that an area like St Louis that absolutely loves soccer will never have a team to call their own.

Well, there's certainly no shame in being an SKC fan. I went up to Sporting Park for a USMNT WC Qualifier vs. Jamaica and the atmosphere was outstanding.

The reality is Atlanta is 23 and San Antonio and Austin are fighting for 24. Minnesota and Sacramento are dark horses.

Yea, it's awesome. Tossed around getting season tickets a couple times an splitting with my cousin who is a huge KC fan himself.

There would be some issues if St Louis actually got a team. Don't know if I could just "turn off" being a Wiz/SKC fan after all these years anyway.

I've got a buddy who's apart of that supporters group, the KC Cauldron. They get pretty rowdy. I've found that the SKC fans are about as die hard as it gets.

I'm an FC Dallas fan myself, so I don't know what a good fan base feels like.

The Blue Hell makes Sporting Park a great place to catch a game. Home support is amazing.
