Do we know anything about this yet other than that we'll be playing the winner of Sunday's game?

Date (I've heard people say October?)

Venue?

One game or two game?

As it's CONCACAF, they're making it up on the fly.

So wait, even if Mexico wins they still have to play us to get into the Confed Cup? Why is that?

Home and away, Azteca and Rose Bowl, all proceeds to the Concacaf Corruption Defense Fund! With 10% to Mexico-Costa Rica assistant referee and 5% to Geiger.
Seriously, why do we even watch this shite?

I need an answer! If we get to play Mexico for a spot in the Confed Cup if they win the Gold Cup I need to start rooting for that to happen.

One game playoff that we host. They changed it so that the odd year Gold Cup winner is not left out.

So the two Gold Cup winners (if they are different) will start having a playoff to get in?

To quality for the Confederation Cup the last 2 winners of the Gold Cup (2013, 2015) play in a playoff. Had US won they would've automatically qualified.

No idea on time and dates.

I'm with you.

If we can't beat Jamaica at home, we are simply not even close to being able to compete with the European and South American clubs.

If we aren't able to compete globally, with consistency, we are as interesting as AAA baseball or Conference USA football.

Dude we beat the Dutch and the Germans, and they were totally trying their hardest.

they just need to make it every four years

No point in make it every other year when only two teams have a legitimate chance at winning.

The "fairest" location is something like Soldier Field or MetLife stadium. I don't know how easy it will be to secure a football stadium in the fall.

Hopefully it doesn't end up at the Rose Bowl.

Maybe RFK?

The last two finals in Chicago and NYC vs Mexico were well

Hell even Seattle wouldn't give us a major advantage if we are playing Mexico

Same tweet I saw with the date said Rose Bowl is available for US-Mex. If US-Jam it would probably be at a smaller venue

I really don't get why this isn't a 2 leg playoff but whatever

Only logical locale is Columbus, IMO.
