Great news for everyone! We likely may get to spend a shiit load of money again and over pay for players that everyone else bitches about!
Can't wait to hear everyone complain.
Maybe that 250,000 pounds a week after taxes offer to Pogba was no lie.....

That's still a big rebuild, it's going to take several offseasons if you're going to do it right.

That was the whole point of the restrictions this season so they meet FFP.
When you spend over 100 million over and over each summer and you are told you can only have a net of 50 of course thats going to help.
The big help for City is the tv money, this is def a crucial summer for you guys. B/c if you guys slip out the top four those revenue streams will suffer along with trying to build a brand. Along with low match day revenue. Also helps the owner sponsors the club.
City might just say frick it and spend 150 + again, and take the FFP hit the year after.
O and City also needs home grown players to pass FFP, its not just about money.

It really is but if City go fricking gun ho again they will get even harsher FFP next time. So they might just try and do it all at once. Take the hit the next season and then just move on.
City are bringing in very good revenue from tv and its Oil money sponsorship deals for sure. But their expenses still push that revenue to the limit.
70 to 80 mil for Pogba then on high wages than Yaya is a sure fire way to breach FFP again .

I'm sure ill get downvoted by the City fans and FFP haters,
but this really highlights how important tv money and the new deal is to City not breaking FFP and being self sustaining one day.
City brought in 369 million pounds in revenue this last season. Which is pretty bad arse.
115 million from tv money, the more you are on tv the more you get which is why they got the 2nd most behind Liverpool. 31 million from the Champions League.
Match Day revenue was only just over 100 million last year at about 110. So do they raise ticket prices and price out their already small pool of fans?
40 Million from Etihad and 12 million from Nike adding up to 308 million
That means the rest would be from sponsorship deals from either other Abu Dhabi based companies or companies like LG and Nissan(around 5 million a year).
If City do not sustain their success of top 4 with champions league their revenue will drop like you would expect. With low match day revenue compared to other top clubs, not being a global brand and limited money coming from non Etihad companies a year or two out of the top could be very bad.
Throw in their wage bill that's above 200 million and if they had their way would spend close 100 million every window.
