I know hazard hasn't been anywhere near his potential, but he needs to be in the game before he HAS to be because we give up a late goal. He still has really good speed and vision. His flashes of brilliance lead to confidence and though rare right now, are lethal. Same with Pedro, he should start.

Ramires has his flaws for sure and this ain't saying much but he's been one of our better players since he started playing more after coming on against Newcastle.

As far Costa I don't know what to think. Obviously coming out wide and getting the ball trying to dribble is not his thing. In fact he's terrible at it. He's a poacher but we aren't getting enough service for him to feel confident about staying in the box and trying to get on the end of things. So what's happening is he ends up in no man's land where he's not helping the team and we have nobody in the box to aim at. I understand his frustration and wanting to come get the ball wherever he can but I'm so tired of seeing him out wide and nobody in the box the times we do get in position to put a ball in.

Willian

I've been critical of his ability in the attacking third since he got here but his energy and effort is second to none and his free kicks are the only thing keeping us afloat at all right now (if we are even still afloat).

Let's just hope today was the day a corner was turned, finally something positive.

completely agree and it depresses me.

Ivan was so good last year at getting forward and slinging balls in, but with he and Cesc falling apart, there goes the service. if willian could tighten up that part of his game he would be nearly unstoppable. hopefully Pedro gets it going.

i thought Baba looked pretty good out there. He had some rough touches and nervy moments, but it was the first time i saw the potential of what he could bring.

Can Pedro play on the left? I'd like to see what a midfield of Pedro Hazard and Willian could do but he ain't playing over Willian right now.

I thought Baba was ok, didn't have to defend much yesterday. He did well getting himself in decent positions going forward but was pretty wasteful with the ball when he got it. Probably just nerves like you said.

Pedro Willian and Hazard is our most tactical formation IMO. If we had a more creative striker it would be a lethal attack. Just need some confidence put back in us.

A win on saturday would be HUGE for a boost.

I always assumed that was his natural position. Never watched much Barca but it seemed alot of his goals in some yutube vids came on the left, though im pretty sure he flipped sides often. And hes always been listed as a LW in fifa

Almost positive Jose put out Pedro left and Willian right for at least a match this season, but i cant remember when.

He is a RW in Fifa. Jose must not know what he is doing.

Yea the more I think about it I feel like he usually was on the left for Barca when I noticed him.

I'd love to put him out there play Hazard centrally and let Willian keep doing his thing on the right and see what happens.

It could really open up the attack, especially with Pedro having no probs with moving in central as a 2nd ST when hazard inevitably drifts out left.

He played all three position for Barca.

I think the Blues had the Hazard Willian Pedro lineup for a few early matches this year?

I think once or twice but it seems like it was usually Willian that was playing more centrally.

Looks like it might be Pedro/Hazard/Willian today with Cesc on the bench according to weaintgotnohistory.

I don't know what he's being instructed to do but I'm so tired of him coming out wide to get the ball and having nobody in the box to cross to and I'm so sick of his donkey dribbles and losing the ball every single time.
