Was that Nicky Butt?

He'll always have Pele's endorsement...

Hope that Messi is big enough to scare Cristianito into another country this year

With Ancelotti at the helm, I may grow to like him.

He´s still a ball hog, he fricked up Isco´s flow a lot today, but, it looks like they´ll work it out.

Özil however, worries me. Even in a BS friendly, he was super intermittent.

I tabbed him for FIFA player of the year this year. I guess I was too optimistic.........

He has moved on from his United ball-hogging days.

You should like him because he and Avatar Eyes (Ray Hudson for Mesut)have some weird connection. Mesut will always have a job if Ronaldo is cutting in from the left. That was probably the one attacking constant of the Mourinho era: Oezil for Ronaldo.

I am very glad the semi special one is gone.

The translator has done a lot of damage to this club.

Cristianito, for one. He took to heart the translator being a countryman, and his problems with the press, as well as Coentrao´s problems. This is logical, but he should have been above it. He is a great player, but very vain, and the translator manipulated him well.

He and Özil had a great connection, which was only logical in the ramplona style of play RM had, I just hope Mesut gets untracked under Ancelotti.

I didn´t like how some of today´s match came off, and I´m sure that Ancelotti didn´t as well.

Madrid still needs a bonafide 9, however.

Hope that Ancelotti doesn't think that Ronaldo can play there. He was thoroughly mediocre there for United, and Benz is only decent there playing in a 4-2-3-1 where he can just accommodate Ronaldo and whoever is playing out wide right. If it's Benz-Ronaldo, hopefully Benz will lose some weight.

Benzemá has worn out his welcome IMO. He is a damned head case. I see Pipa there more, what with Isco and Özil on the flanks. Both are so damned mobile, and Cristiano, well, it´s pretty damned complicated. As we saw today.

Pipa would benefit more from this set up, as he´s more a garbage, ding in kind of player.

Suárez, with subtle feed ins from Isco and Özil, would be ideal.

Ancelotti says he´s happy with what he´s got. I think this is part of the club´s machination to get Pipa out at a good price, and be able to get in Suárez at something reasonable, be it players and cash, or at a reduced amount when window closure looms.

The Ibrahamovic thing is funny, I don´t know what type of relationship he had with Ancelotti, but I don´t see RM opening up that Pandora´s box.

Lewandowski would have been ideal, as well.

ETA The Russian kid surprised today. He could bring in cash, on loan or a sale, and DiMaría is always a good sale.

Got to get rid of Coentrao now, at a good price. Maybe the translator will take him.

If Real Madrid somehow managed Suarez, they'd end up with a better 4-6-0

Caught the second half of the OL friendly today. Did Cheryshev play at left-back against Bournemouth, too?

I didn´t catch it all, it´s hard to say. I mean, it seemed like he was at LB, but others, like an out and out winger.

I really wasn´t able to pay enough attention, but from what I gather, mostly LB.

Pretty sweet game last night. It was a lot of fun. Here was OL's first goal, I'm betting that it will be on sportscenter today.

Ancelotti had both fullbacks pushing way up in attack while Casemiro dropped in between Nacho and Pepe (at least against OL).

I was much more impressed with Cheryshev at LB than I was with him at LW against some random Copa del Rey minnow last year. If that preseason half was any indication, he'll have a future there. It's good because I didn't see the hype behind him in that single first team game. Kind of funny considering that Mourinho was looking for a LB and adamant that Nacho be played there for the reserves.

Illarramendi´s letting that horrid haircut grow out, and is already sporting a Xabi beard.

Bale signs his first strip with a Real Madrid badge on it.

As or Marca report that Özil, DiMaría and Benzemá are freaking out, with what will purportedly be Bale´s salary.

This shite´s getting even more complicated.

So according to some guy on Fox Soccer news half of the La Liga tv money goes to Real Madrid and Barcelona. I know both of those clubs are a huge draw for the league but it makes it much harder for everyone else to compete and try to make things interesting.
