Borussia Dortmund is struggling. Blown 4-0 lead Derby edition

I'm pretty sure someone from this board said this would happen a year and a half ago. Looks like an early exit from CL and faltering domestically. Wonderkid Pulisic has been great tho.. two goals and one assist. What a player

Melt
Stupid for a club like Dortmund to rely of him so heavily.. and they sure are paying for it
Funny how you go right into defending Pulisic, when the premise of this thread is about Dortmund. Dortmund is on a downward trend just like I said was going to happen

You can't pull that shite when the entire second half of your post was about him.

I don't know if this thread is supposed to be sarcastic, but Pulisic has played well. He leads the entire Bundesliga in successful dribbles per game (3.5), which is an amazing number in its own right (as it is behind only Messi and Neymar) but it is especially insane for a 19 year old. Outside of Messi and Neymar, Pulisic leads the top five European leagues in completed dribbles. Which indicates he is getting into threatening positions, but is lacking the final ball. Still he's created 13 chances of which his teammates have scored only 1. For example, he's created 1 more chance than Phillip, 1 more than Sahin, 3 more than Kagawa, and 4 more than Auba.
All in all he's coming along really nicely, even if he doesn't have the G/A to back it up just yet.

Haha. They have Kagawa, Gotze, Auba, Phillip, Schurrle, and Sahin. They aren't relying on one player. It's a structural issue due to a change in management, not something endemic to Dortmund. They are only 3 points behind second place Schalke too.
This is a weird thread again.

Lothar Matthaus is trying to get Bayern to buy Pulisic and Bayern's sporting director said he's listening. But sure, continue to spread false narratives.
ETA. You can't say a team is on a downward spiral, watch them have a great season and then say you were right 18 months later after a slow start. It's like me saying West Ham is going to get relegated and then acting like I'm a genius if it happens well after I thought it would happen.

And 9 pts off the lead which will continue to grow. Is second place the goal? About to be out of Cl, two draws with Apoel?
A first year club Leipzig finished higher than them last season.

Behind a team like Bayern? Pretty much.

This retard doesn't surprise me. But I think he actually thinks he made a legitimate point.

Well they will struggle to finish second this season for sure.
Leipzig is more of a player than them

A great season for Dortmund is not having first year Leipzig finish above them. Nice cup win but that will be their last trophy for a while

As I'm pretty sure we said in the last one of these threads, Leipzig was a real unique case last season.
No European competition, and they got bounced in the first round of the Pokal by Dresden, if I remember correctly.
From the first kick of the season, all Leipzig had to play for was the Bundesliga. That went a long way.
Also, they had a squad that was lightyears ahead of a typical newly promoted team in terms of money and overall talent.
And Dortmund only finished three points behind them while maintaining a cup-winning run and getting to the quarterfinals of the Champions League. Disappointing league finish, sure, but it wasn't a disaster.

SEC isn’t known for his high level of thought.

Nah dude. A club like Dortmund that dares to play an American is doomed.

Very true but I'm pleased about Pulisic's performance. His dribbling ability will hopefully start leading to goals and assists.

Yeah he plays an attacking position.. how about he starts putting the ball in the dam net. Save the dribbling stats

I don't think there's that many Dortmund fans on here.
