@SoccerByIves: Klinsmann confirms Alejandro Bedoya can't play vs. Mexico due to illness. Bobby Wood replaces him . #USMNT

Hope Wood can perform in the defensive midfield role.

He scored 2 goals against teams that had already made massive subs and had already mentally checked out. He has been invisible in nearly every other game he's played for us.

Bedoya sucks when JK plays him not just out of position, but in a position hes never played before.

At this point I think Juergen is finding every excuse he can not to call Benny Feilhaber.

Let's flip our shite about bench players likely not to see the field. You guys are pathetic.

He's not likely to see the field because he's Bobby Wood.

Eh. I'm not a reactionary Jurgy hater, but at this point it sure seems like he is just trolling everyone.

Bedoya is one of our more technical field players.

Why would he need an excuse? Leaving out a player that hasn't been in the picture for years now isn't exactly news. Bedoya is a better player than Feilhaber or Wood, but none of the three being in or out of the lineup will change the outcome.

If the inclusion or exclusion of fricking Benny Feilhaber is a major issue (which it is not), the USMNT are in big trouble tonight

I'd say leaving Feilhaber outhe for the last year and a half has been a big issue.

It would let us move Bradley back to his natural position.

Sure, he might could help. What I was saying is that Benny Feilhaber being with the team or not won't decide tonights match and won't factor in to the future success of the USMNT.

Wait, so a player playing at a position of need for us, and playing extremely well in MLS and better than others being called up at that position, wouldn't help us do better? GTFO

So he's better than Bradley playing in that number 10 role? I don't think so. I guess it depends on the situation and opponent because they do different things but Bradley is clearly more important to the team. I think Benny is a good player but I wouldn't insert him into the lineup for Bradley, Jones, or Beckerman in a game like this.

Most people would sacrifice jones or beckerman, drop Bradley back, and play Benny at 10

Yes. Bradley sucks at 10. That you can't see this is an indictment of your soccer IQ.
