Joined Hellas Verona 8 days ago, retired this morning, then umretired this afternoon.
Should come as no surprise that Cassano makes decisions like a moody teenager.

I think his wife told him don't leave money on the table. You don't have that much more to earn.

He has a wife? That's the most surprising thing about this thread. I thought he'd be fricking his way through Verona and finding the best pastry boy in Italy to give him his post-sex pastry.

For me, Cassano is kind of like soccer's version of Jared Lorenzen. There's clearly talent there, but he just didn't give a shite about keeping his body at the level it needs to be for optimal performance. He could have been much better than he was.
Kind of puts into perspective the discipline and willpower professional athletes need, in addition to talent, to really make it at the top level. Some guys just don't have it.

He was that way and still made his way to the Italian NT and Real Madrid. He's had a great career but I don't think he gave a shite. He was seemingly fine with that though.
