It wasn't a shot. He knocked it into the path of Giroud, who knocked it out for a goal kick.

Yea not really a shot, ricochet would have been a better choice. His flick definitely helped. If he doesn't knock it a bit to the right then Giroud has a pretty easy finish it appears.
