Updated my team with the list of substitutes.
Posted on 5/7/13 at 12:36 pm to WarSlamEagle
Jack Butland (GK, Stoke City, 20, England)
Carl Jenkinson (RB, Arsenal, 21, England)
Steven Caulker (CB, Tottenham, 21, England)
Matija Nastasic (CB, Manchester City, 20, Serbia)
Luke Shaw (LB, Southampton, 17, England)
Phil Jones (DM, Manchester United, 21, England)
Jack Wilshere (CM, Arsenal, 21, England)
Philippe Coutinho (AM, Liverpool, 20, Brazil)
Oscar (RW, Chelsea, 21, Brazil)
Romelu Lukaku (ST, Chelsea, 19, Belgium)
Raheem Sterling (LW, Liverpool, 18, England)
Subs:
Jonjo Shelvey (CM, Liverpool, 21, England)
Suso (AM, Liverpool, 18, Spain)
Andre Wisdom (RB/CB, Liverpool, 19, England)
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (RM, Arsenal, 19, England)
Alexander Kacaniklic (LM, Fulham, 21, Sweden)
Ben Davies (LB, Swansea City, 20, Wales)
Tom Carroll (CM, Tottenham, 20, England)
Best I could do. Some players may be slightly out of position. There are a bunch of 22-year-olds that could be considered U21 since they turned 22 after the season started, but I didn't include them. Also, I believe all of the players listed appeared in a minimum of 5 or 6 matches (with the exception of Butland who is on loan at Birmingham - couldn't think of a single other U21 keeper who has actually played?).
Carl Jenkinson (RB, Arsenal, 21, England)

I didn't know exactly how young some of those Liverpool guys were. I wasn;t convinced by Coutinho but he's really played well for Liverpool in the matches I've seen. Looks good for the future. Kind of crazy that Inter had Coutinho, Balotelli and Destro a few years ago on their bench.
Didn't remember Nastasic was so young. City paid a lot in cash plus Stefan Savic but it looks like a good deal even though Savic would've made the Serie A squad I posted if not for turning 22 a few months too soon .

It's ridiculous:
Jordan Ibe, 17
Raheem Sterling, 18
Samed Yesil, 18
Suso, 19
Jack Robinson, 19
Adam Morgan, 19
Andre Wisdom, 19
Philippe Coutinho, 20
Conor Coady, 20
Jonjo Shelvey, 21
Sebastian Coates, 22
Fabio Borini, 22
Jordan Henderson, 22
Joe Allen, 23
Daniel Sturridge, 23
Martin Kelly, 23
All of those guys have made senior appearances, and several of the younger ones have really featured quite a bit for their age.

somebody make a la liga list so i can my "you're so varane, i bet you think this thread is about you" joke can have some sliver of meaning

i can't think of another. de gea is one of those you mentioned who is still technically u21.
it seems bad for the EPL that that everyone in that XI is a no-brainer at this point.

If you think Varane rhymes with vain, then you are pronouncing it wrong.
Vuh ran.

I have no idea what you are saying, as usual, but in any case you're pronouncing it wrong .

Naw, if I lived in France, it´d be wrong. I don´t, so I pronounce his surname as it should sound.
´Veesie´ B is a soft b pronounced with a slight rounding of the lips.

First I've heard of this. Would like to see him get regular playing time, wherever that may be. Glad it's not Chivas. I guess he wasn't Mexican enough.
