The pair become entangled and, as referee John Beaton runs across to intervene, the striker turns and leans towards his opponent, appearing to connect around the knee area with his head.
The video is inconclusive although McAlister can clearly be heard telling the official "he bit me" as players from both sides rush to get involved.
The SPFL have also cut the footage just as viewers are about to see it from a better angle.
