Juventus will avenge their deaths by beating Barcelona and claiming the treble.

Well that was a neat history lesson for me on wiki.

Was unaware of this tragic event.

Murder sure is.

I'll defend Liverpool on Hillsborough but no way on this.

Worst part about it is the club has never admitted responsibility and its chairman at the time actually blamed Chelsea fans for this and a Juve fan supposedly brandishing a gun.

Juve fans have never forgot and its the reason why English clubs are hated in Italy and its fans are always attacked on away trips.

Yes it was very sad. Hooligans attacking the Juve family section. It pretty much what lit the fire creating violent Italian Ultras we see now.

What makes it worse is that English football didn't learn its lesson. Hooligan culture got worse while teams had been banned and when they were allowed back in went on a complete rampage.

You think after seeing how a ground not kept to a standard fell apart with a large crowd, people in UK would have looked at their own stadiums to prevent them falling apart. But nope it took Hillsborough, Ibrox and the Bradford City fire for action to be taken. Issue is they took to much action. All seat stadium in the top 2 divisions and no beer drinking if you can see the pitch. The terraces are a thing of the past in the UK for the big clubs unless the play away to smaller club in a cup.

But while in mainland Europe stadiums got improved all while keeping the terrace which in part kept the atmosphere. The Ultra sections in Germany are very safe and you can drink beer and watch the game in the top 2 divisions( 3rd and lower they don't allow it bc of Ultras beating the shite out of each other)

So now many fans here would rather go on away trips bc its like being in a terrace every standing for 90mins and non stop singing.

Def. Dark part of our history but it by no means defines the entire supporters of the club.

I got some research to do man. This is fascinating to me. A part of the game I am not really aware to. People don't exactly talk about tragic stuff like this on the regular and I have yet to be overseas.

When you say Ultras, what exactly do you mean?

The hardcore support in mainland Europe is called ultras.

They also have a very violent side to them. Lots have political motivation. Usually far right. Some of the best fans but in some clubs they are the absolute trouble makers.

In away sections they have their own terrace and regular away fans get seats next to them if there is space.

Watching this footage of Hillsborough now.

England seems trashier today for me than they previously did.
