He did but he didn't get to United until 05 and Schmeichel left in 99 there was a 6 year cycle of rotating shite keepers.

Yeah, Roy Carroll was shite.......I remember that clearly. Then Tim fricked up against Porto in the CL and Sir Red Face had seen enough.

He did win the 98 WC starting for France when he won the gig from Bernard Lama. Lama played well from what I remember at Euro 96 but it wasn't enough.

Very slightly but my allegiance is always Newcastle first, I’ve been there 4 times at this point, haven’t been back to Paris since 2012.

It’s more just weird to watch, never thought I’d see the day and certainly didn’t think I’d ever see Newcastle pistol whipping PSG
