With the whatever pick of the second round of the 2016-17 TD Premier League Draft, West Harambe United selects Henrikh Mkhitaryan, midfielder, Manchester United.

The run of forwards in the late first round gave West Harambe a dilemma: reach for a second-tier striker in the second round or snag another (potentially) elite midfielder? Mkhitaryan was extremely high on our pre-draft boards for his huge success in the Bundesliga (led the league in assists and averaged a shot every half-hour, better than anyone else on United's roster) and excellent play in preseason under Jose Mourinho. Plus, who can question the alliterative power of Henrikh and Harambe?

West Harambe United know the great value of a foreign import, just like Harambe was to the city of Cincinnati before he was killed. RIP.

The google sheet will be updated much faster, but I will try to do the one on page one as much as possible. Will update pretty soon.

No worries I can check that instead. I just didn't want to pick another player who was picked for a second time. As long as everyone keeps bolding their picks we should be alright.

Not a prob!

Actually it's a huge problem and you'll be deducted 3 points as a result. I like that course of action better.

Bolding your picks makes it easier on Grandpa BPG's eyes.

He can't see very well due to the Liverpool colored glasses he is wearing.

You could've just dropped that insult into groupme, but bonus points for leaving it here to impress your TD buddies.

I, personally, would hope most would draft with the intent of a player being part of their team for the season. In another one of my leagues last year (it wasn't a draft...BUT) someone picked up Roberto Soldado 3 days before he transferred. EVERY paper said it was a done deal. BUT he hadn't been confirmed by either club yet. So that guy got bumped up to the top of the supplemental draft. Pissed me off. I tried to propose a rule in that league to prevent that from happening but the other owners voted it down. I'm still pissed about that.

quote:

Not enough examples to be statistical relevant but I wonder how well the last two pickers (who nominally would have the highest supplemental picks) have done in the league table over the last few year - average table finish per picking position?

2015
- Vick & Sticky were last 2 picks.
- Vick moved up 1 slot to the top of the supplemental
- Vick took Pedro; Sticky got de Bruyne
- Vick finished 4th; Sticky finished 7th

2014
- WarSlamEagle & Vick were the last 2 picks.
- BPG jumped to the top of the supplemental
- BPG took Falcao ; Vick took Balotelli ; WSE got di Maria
- WSE finished 5th; Vick finished 9th; BPG finished 3rd
