Abou Diaby has been offered a contract by West Brom, but he's reportedly going to sign with Marseille instead.

Jovetic is in Milan for his medical today.

With the constant roster turn over, he never had a chance at City when it came down to it.
Wish him the best.

Ehhhh, he had his chances, just couldn't stay healthy and was always hurt when the other forwards in front of him were. Not really his fault, just not good timing.
I wish him the best as well, always liked him when he did get some PT

Ricardo Kishna to Lazio.

Jovetic deal will total £12.35m (£2.1m loan + £10.25m compulsory fee) but also include a 20% sell-on clause. (via @StuBrennanMEN)
+ £2m in add-ons so it could reach £14.3m and then a portion of any future transfer fee. May not be such a big loss after all.

Bigger bust Afellay or Bojan?

Bojan highlighted just how much difference being surrounded by the rest of Barca's attack makes a player look (along with simply the hype of coming through their academy).
Barca also doesn't do any favors to many of their younger guys who aren't quite up to world class level but still good players any favors. They seem to insist on loan deals with absurdly high buyouts which means clubs have no motivation to play them if they struggle a bit.

He was superb for Stoke last year until he got injured.

Paris Saint-Germain are said to have had a bid of $120 million turned down by Real Madrid for Cristiano Ronaldo.
PSG are banking that Ronaldo, 30, is unhappy at Real after Carlo Ancelotti was replaced by Rafael Benitez this summer. In various reports from the Middle East, it is said that Real’s president Florentino Perez met with PSG officials in Doha, Qatar in early July but the initial bid was turned down. However with Paris Saint-Germain’s Financial Fair Play restrictions eased by UEFA, it is believed the French champions are willing to up their bid despite Perez claiming that Ronaldo is not for sale.

Gilberto (the TFC flop) will be going to the Fire thanks to the beaucoup allocation bucks they got from the Impact for Drogba.

Hughes has done well with transfers/loans for us. I have faith he knows what hes doing with Afellay.
quote:I hate how there's still this negative vibe about stoke like we're some kind of crap club. We've finished in the top half of the league the last 2 seasons. I know we're not the cream of the crop but its not like we're a yoyo club or a perennial "just barely escape relegation" club thats an embarrassment to play for.

And that's why they needed Drogba instead of money. The Fire have shown they can't spend wisely.
