Saban's longterm goal....

in my opinion is to win a National championship. That is, win a National championship at as many schools as he can.
He'll win one at Bama, probabaly this year. No one can play with Bama folks except maybe Texas. He scheduled Penn State b/c he wants to beat Joe Paterno a couple times and have their fans begging for him to take their job. I promise, that's why he did it.
Enjoy this meaningless rent-a-fly-by-night-coach charade Alabama fans. It won't last long and you'll be right back near the bottom in a few years where Shula had ya which is where you belong.

the answer to that is no. and btw, even if you were right... which i'd say the VAST majority realize you're just pissed for whatever reason you get pissed at things.... EVEN IF you WERE right, i'll take a NC however you can get it here as long as it's legit and fair.
but, Saban wins one here and sticks around to keep this up as a dynasty... if he's got the energy left in him.

Florida will play in the national championship game and Saban will be here until he's ready to retire. The false hopes of hoping he'll leave so YOUR TEAM will be relevant again is indeed false hopes.
And by the way, Mike Shula is back, but only in the form of Kiffin and I assure you he'll go before Saban will (Kiffin will be fired in three years... moral victories won't be tolerated for three consecutive years in Tox-ville).

I'm just making an honest forecast on it based on how he acts and talks. He's building too much of a monster at bama and he won't be able to feed it too long. It's sort of like Carrol at SC right now but he knows if he stays by about 2012 he'll flame out b/c there's too many good coaches and shady recruiters to compete against. He can't even deal with the local media after a shakey win without losing his temper.
I'm just saying don't get your hopes too high if you are Alabama b/c he's not showing signs that he's in it for the longterm there.
