WIth regards to the comment bout too many LEO, just consider that, with regards to the State Police, they are often taken off the road to help in other areas of the State, like in the Quarter in N.O. at times, riots, etc. I don't see this as an issue, especially at a time when virtually every city is lagging behind in being properly served.

I just don't get why we need all the these city cops, constables, deputies, troopers, weights and standards, city Marshalls, Dea, fbi, homeland security, us marshalls, etc.

Those right there could be cut out tomorrow and the average joe would see zero negative effect from it.

I italicized city cops because there are way too many of them based on the fact that in many small towns like (Crowley, Rayne, etc.) we could beef up the SO and police those towns....but there is too much money involved for the city to do that.

During an interview a few days ago, Edmondson was if this had occurred in another state agency, wouldn't there be a criminal investigation? He had no answer.
I truely believe this calls for an FBI investigation.

How much did we spend on LEO traveling with Jindal during his campaign? IIRC, it was way more than what was spent on travel to Nevada. This trip to Vegas was killed by poor decisions and people should be reprimanded, but should they be fired or worse? The answer is a resounding no IMO.

We have a 5% state sales tax on top of state income tax...if you are the head of a state agency and your department is spending tax payer dollars on absolute bullshite then you should be fired. These guys are stealing tax payer dollars. No other way around it. shite's got to stop. Totally unacceptable.

I agree with you that a lot of money was spent providing security for Jindal during his travels. However, what we have here is some troopers who took it upon themselves to spend time in Vegas as an unauthorized side trip. Additionally, they bill for a massive amount of overtime. Then, to top it off, Mike Edmondson approves it, albeit, with a rubber stamp done by someone in his office.
It just smells bad and needs a pair of outside eyes to look at it.
