Youngkin: I'm Not Going To Be Lectured On Race By A Guy Who Embraces Someone Who Wore Blackface
Republican candidate for Governor in Virginia Glenn Youngkin appeared on 'Hannity' Monday night and discussed Democratic candidate Terry McAuliffe bringing race in the election.
"This is about parents, and Terry McAuliffe wanting to put government between parents and their children, and we in Virginia have a law that says parents have a fundamental right to make decisions with regards to their kids' education. I stand for it, Terry is against it, it's that clear, and voters are standing up and rejecting Terry McAuliffe," Youngkin said.
"He's just running the playbook that he wrote," Youngkin said of McAuliffe. "He's the godfather of the modern-day Democratic party and he doesn't know what else to do other than introduce race into this. I'm not going to be lectured by a guy on race who embraces someone who wore blackface and then asked him to leave and then gets him back and then has somebody on his ticket who wore blackface."

Plus Glen has an African American, female, veteran on his ticket. If the left wants to talk about identity politics so much why don’t they mention this.

It's about time somebody on the right starts calling out the Dem history of showing what they actually think of black people

This is the first I've heard about this. The Lt. Gov choice or AG wore "blackface"?

The Governor wore black face (or a Klan outfit). when they were going to push him out the Lt Governor was accused of two rapes. The Governor spot would have then led to the AG Mark Herring who then admitted to wearing black face in the past. So no one was forced to resign because at the time it would have led to a Republican taking over the Governor’s mansion.

Can we not use the “No, you’re the racists” strategy. It’s embarrassing to accept the terms of that debate.

Need more Repubs to start calling out their opponents for bullshite like this.
There's a reason Desantis is a rockstar, its his scorched earth, yet dignified smack downs.

Youngkin’s response is acceptable because, again, McAuliffe challenged him on race. How else was he supposed to respond? By talking about the economy?

When Northam had his blackface scandal the second in line had a rape accusation and third in line (AG) had also worn blackface in the past. Largely why Northam survived the scandal.
Democrats in Virginia are a real great group of people, apparently.

I would like Youngkin better if he didn't sound like an infomercial spokesman. Terry is a Clintonite scumbag and I hope this guy can pull it off.

Do you honestly think this is a winning strategy for western civilization? Dinesh DSouza politics is incredibly juvenile and pointless.

She is impressive.
Do they run as a ticket like P/VP or independently from one another.
I’ve never seen them together. Should all the time. She good

I knew about Northam but I forgot about the AG doing the same so the comment about McAuliffe having someone on his ticket who wore blackface threw me. Thank you.
