Anyone who thinks that Trump build his real estate empire by stiffing contractors is either uninformed or in complete denial. There were plenty of contractors in New Jersey who were ready to kill him in the late 90s and early 2000s.

Trump was commonly known as the most corrupt builder around (who was a public figure) many many years before he got into politics. He has made a career off of doing deals and not agreeing to them pay the whole amount and instead holds the other entity hostage until they just agree to a smaller price or just keep them in court until they agree.

As for the premise that Trump's business dealings somehow disqualify him from insisting that you and I as taxpayers should not be stiffed by: France, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Albania, Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Portugal, Italy, Canada, Slovenia, Turkey, Spain, and Belgium, I'd prefer to not get stiffed.
