All but guaranteed. One $15M cruise missile cannot defeat 500 drones that cost $1,000 each.

The Houthis have survived an aerial bombing campaign by the Saudis on par with North Vietnam. They really give no f$&ks.

It's a shite situation but we have to protect the shipping lanes and obliterate the threat. Otherwise it will happen elsewhere. People have to fear the US Navy or else we are fricked.
Also, I have a son going into Maritime Transportation and I really don't like the idea of him becoming Captain Phillips.

Just do what it requires to keep the shipping lanes open. There is no need to kill Yemenis on a larger scale to send any other message, just hit the bad guys, and make sure commerce continues.
That's the problem. Point out to me which are the bad guys,

and which apartments are the ones the bad guys live in?

Yemen has to realize that although we suck at occupations, we're still pretty good at offensive operations.

The thing is that if we ended up in a shooting war in Yemen, we wouldn’t send troops walking in. We would fight exclusively from the air.
Not even worth it. Military needs to hurry and get these cheap air defense weapons like lasers and directed energy up and running. Let them lob their little missiles out over the water for quick disposal.

Nah. I’m good. Y’all have fun with your goats.
Y'all realize that the sect that is disrupting the shipping lanes and about to cause the price of oil—and therefore general inflation—to increase again are from Yemen, don't you?
Of course you don't.
All you know is to parrot populist bullshite like "America First" without the attention span to be able to connect the dots to understand how it actually does affect America.

They don't understand that. It's too complicated for them. Too many moving parts.

They mustn’t know of the fafo scale
They do. They've experienced it.
But we have no business getting involved. And we shouldn't. They're just saber rattling and posturing because they know we won't act. Then they can claim we're "scared" and propagandize to their supporters that they "stood up to the Great Satan".
Goat rapers do goat raper things.
I'll reiterate again, we have no business getting involved. Let them grandstand and beat their chests.

We have no business in Yemen that benefits Americans

Is there oil there?
Yes, but currently all production is shut in because of the civil war.
I lived in Yemen for five years, working for an American oil company that is currently patiently waiting to get back into the country.

I coached a kid in track about 12-13 years ago. He went into the Air Force and is stationed at Eglin AFB near Pensacola FL. We’ve stayed in touch. He works with armed remote-controlled drones (that’s as much detail as he would give me). Great young man. He didn’t give up any classified info but he said with proper intelligence they can find and wipe out just about anybody anywhere on earth fairly quickly. I assume Yemen would be quick work, as you say.

Why wouldn’t they? Hell the islands of the Caribbean could scare this administration into submission

I think China and Russia are behind it and are hoping to get involved. I think they have some new weapon that we have no clue of yet, and they are all itching to re-arrange the World Order.

they have legit numbers of assets waiting for the goat signal to start causing chaos on American soil.
They’ve been streaming thru our porous border since 2021 with the blessing and protection from the Biden administration.
This is how next year’s election will be disrupted. The critters running congress would willingly do harm to America just to keep Trump from another term. They are sick.

It doesn't though. The President has the authority to unilaterally sequester U.S. oil. Not only would we have all of our own production, but we're really the only outlet for Canadian oil too. We'd be fine.
