Would Mike Flynn still be NSA if the real discussion he had with the Russians...

The guy was bigly controversial...to many on the left and the right. Most folks from both sides sighed in relief when H. R. McMaster got the replacement job. I'm not certain it was a leftist who leaked...too many folks wanted Flynn's scalp. I, for one, am glad the guy is out of the WH. To the leaker!

Nope...but Flynn admitted that he talked sanctions with the Russians after the facts of the leaked report ended up in the WSJ. This forced Trump's hand....why do you ask? You support Flynn?

I'm ambivalent on Flynn. Don't really care that he's gone. But saying that Flynn talked sanctions means absolutely nothing without context.

Help me out here. Why would it be strange for the subject of sanctions to come up with a possible member of the next Administration? I would fully expect the foreign leader to ask me about my team's View regarding the sanctions. I'd be stunned if it didn't happen.

The Russians are the ones who likely leaked the info and were blackmailing Flynn.

Alright....here's your context. Flynn was called out for having talks with the Russian ambassador. He said it was a normal transition conversation and that he did not discuss easing sanctions with the Russians. Then...it comes out (through a leak) that the specifics of the conversation included discussions of easing sanctions...and the guy gets fired because of that. Are you being obtuse...just to be obtuse? LINK

Because...we...as a country...were ratcheting up sanctions after their screwing around with our election. Then...the Russians turn around and go to the incoming administration (on the day the new sanctions were dropped) and say...what can y'all do for us about this? And...the guy they talk to...denies that they talked sanctions because it looks shitty and backhanded...and like quid pro quo. SO...if Flynn talking sanctions and denying wasn't a problem...why did Trump cut his throat and toss to the road?

Absolutely within the realm of possibility...but why would they leak it...if they thought they had an inside guy? No...it was a US leak...probably a Dem...but I don't doubt that GOPer did it.

I'm glad Flynn was booted if only to show the stark difference in this admin and the previous, given the controversy surrounding the latter's count of an NSA. That shady bitch was clearly way worse and has been protected and pampered like I've never seen.

If the Russians were taping conversions- and they were since everything is recorded in Russia - and Flynn was too stupid and discussed sanctions when he damned well better know you don't talk that with Russia...Russia has every cause to dump him. What use is working with a fool?
