We got the 2 Pfizer clot shots over a year ago after a couple of close friends died from Covid and another friend was on a vent for over a week. My wife is 66 and I’m 59 and we made the decision that we thought were the best for us at the time. We haven’t gotten any boosters/shots since and really regret getting them now. Actually we have regretted getting them a month or so after getting them. Oh, well.

Anyway, my wife got the flu on Monday, and I caught it last night. We have never had our bodies react to the flu in this way. Normally, we don’t get the flu. I’m running high fever (102) and it may last an hour or 2. Then my fever breaks for a couple hours and then starts heating up again.

In the past, I would run fever all day and then it may break at night. But I ran high fever long enough to do some damage to the virus. Now, it’s like my immune system doesn’t know how to fight off this virus. My wife still has the flu since Monday.

Anyone else on here experiencing anything like this? TIA

You're probably tormenting yourself needlessly.

Each flu virus is different. May just be this strain that is causing your symptoms.

Relax and you'll be ok.

Y’all’s immune system isn’t working correctly because of the vaccine, you can read about it. I hope you guys get better soon.

Age 64, didn't take the COVID-19 vaccine but I caught a cold 2nd week of December and it's been lingering since. Don't feel real bad but still coughing up shite. I assume it's a cold because I never took a Covid-19 test.

Yea, no shots.

It leaves you with lots of mucous for a week.

ETA: you tested + for flu?

I had something almost a month ago that knocked me on my back for a week. It was the weirdest thing I've ever had.

Praying for you and your wife.

Nah, just noticing our immune system fighting this virus unlike any before.

And we aren’t tormenting ourselves. We made a decision to take the shot and we are dealing with it. I was just curios if anyone is noticing their immune system not acting normally with the flu.

Just got over type B. Wasn't bad at all besides the first 24 hours. Get some tamiflu, need it in the first 48 hours I think.

I took the Covid test this morning and it was negative. Went to quick care and tested positive for the flu. Type A I believe.

I have covid right now and the symptoms are very similar to what you describe. The fever was on/off for two days. It got as high as 103.8 F before I took Advil or Tylenol. I think im nearing the end of it.

I had covid in august of 2021 and it was totally different. I supposed different strains of the flu could also be different

Oh to the OP your friends that died of covid died because of the doctors that either killed them directly or by denying care that actually works.

Tamiflu is always pointless.

I have found that the Neilmed nasal sinus wash stuff in the canister helps with the mucus. [link=(neilmed.com)]LINK[/link]

If you don’t tender some sort of pic, somewhere across this land a puppy dog will die. It’s whole life ahead of it, bringing immeasurable joy and happiness to many people.

I don’t make the rules, I just enforce them.

Obligatory just kidding. Unless you just want to, which honestly I’d try to talk you out of but would also note the heroism and honor of the gesture.

About four years ago in June/July I got the flu and it was the worst thing I'd ever experienced. Unable to leave the house for two weeks, getting 10+ hours of sleep for another two.

In my 20s, workout daily, eat right, family full of doctors. It happens. Pathogens are wildcards.

I wouldn't worry about it. The flu going around did this to a 4 year old that never was vaxed. Variation of fever. Many people are getting it like this.

Also: At your age take good multivitamins, super beet root, garlic tablets. Piping Rock online has good multivitamins for 50 Plus.

You will be okay don't take the boosters. But at your ages you were smart to.

I have a pretty good immune system when it comes to colds and allergies, and I take Vitamin D daily. I've been fighting something weird for about a week. Could have something to do with the insane weather we had last week.
