No, a death was postponed. She will eventually still lose her life.

But we do know that the opportunity to pursue happiness for every American will now evaporate. Because we are now forced, at the point of a gun, to postpone everyones death.

Medical sidebar: EVERYONE "quits breathing" during abdominal surgery like this because we paralyze the shite out of them so they don't move. Unless the anesthesia machine blew up or the anesthesiologist stroked out and forgot to turn the ventilator on she was "breathing" the entire time, regardless if her heart stopped. Which, by the way, is highly questionable in my opinion. If someone codes on the table we are cleaning shite up and getting out of dodge - tumor be damned. I hate medical histrionics in articles like this.

EDIT: Unless she was put on cardiopulmonary bypass where her heart is stopped as well as her breathing. But that's entirely planned, controlled, and monitored, not some 'Oh shite!' moment like the article implies.

The reason why we have Obamacare is that the Republican Party failed to produce an alternative acceptable to a majority of the people to tackle the problem of lack of insurance beyond just saying no to Obamacare.
