Why is the media so bent on getting Trump to demonize Putin?

I don't see how that helps anything. All it would do is stir him up and create completely unnecessary friction between the US and Russia.

Is Putin a bad guy? Of course. Do they really want a war with Russia? It's absolutely a good idea to shy away from demonizing him. Unless diplomatic relations have utterly failed beyond repair, it serves 0 purpose.

No one is trying to get @real to "demonize" Putin.

Everyone is perplexed by @real's hardon for Putin, starting with his lie that he has a great relationship with the man, which he later recanted as having never met the man, but he said nice things, when the truth was, Putin mocked @real by calling him flamboyant. Hard to believe it's gotten worse, with @real most recently likening the not-so-innocent USA, full of killers, to Putin. It's genuinely bizarre. If @real were a Democrat, you people would be calling him a traitor.

You are mischaracterizing the complaint. It isn't that he "isnt demonizing" Putin. Its that he has consistently praised Putin while being openly critical of our traditional allies in Europe. That is frightening and it really isnt all that hard to understand why folks are "so bent" if you dont fail to define the behavior properly.

Oh don't worry, it's already happened after our last president gave Iran a blueprint to their first nuclear warheads.

Huh? They always ask him about it, and then when he says something positive they bring up all the stuff Putin has done...so what response do they expect?

Our traditional allies with a pinch of military power? Besides they aren't nuts like Putin is. Russia is a far greater military power to reckon with and they're highly unpredictable.

I dont understand your point? Are you saying that because russia has a powerful military our president should publicly praise putin?

Most of this board had a raging hard-on for Putin not too long ago.

Responses like that of the former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs last night and everyone who came before @real?

Don't forget that Putin also meddled in our election to help Trump and there is a very high probability he's also blackmailing Trump. Very dubious situation made even more dubious by Trump's constant praise of Putin.

The United States has not had a real issue with Russia in 30 years

For some reason these fricking assholes want to wind that clock back

Right. We should just bend over and take it while they annex sovereign territories and meddle in our elections.

Don't care if Russia takes over the world due to a lack of understanding of global affairs. Check.

Totally cool with Russia meddling in our elections. Check.

The media has Obama on a hot mic telling Putin's protege to "tell Vlad I will have a lot more flexibility (to reduce nukes) after I get elected" and no one called him a Putin sycophant. Strange how this works eh? Trump has done nothing to show weakness to Russia, yet the media is calling him all but a traitor. Obama actually sells us out and crickets.
