They need a face in the news since they want Hilldog to shut up and go away. There isn't any other Dims that anyone knows other than Bernie.

They didn't. They rigged their primaries to stop him and put in place a DNC head that opposes him. Bernie and Trump are treated identically by their parties, except Trump managed to defeat his party's rigging attempts and win the White House. Bernie also is beloved by his party's media people where Trump is hated by similar GOP pundits.

Bernie isn't really that far left. Maybe in the US he looks like it but worldwide he ain't even close.

Also, people need to give it up when they say it was rigged against Bernie. Were the voting machines fixed? No? Were his voters barred form voting? No? Did he have more votes than Hillary in the Southern states that had had to be competitive in to have a chance? No? THEN IT WASN'T RIGGED.

He rallies teh base which is what matters for the mid term.

The middle will only be reached out to during presidential elections.

*democratic socialist*

and no, when you look at his record he isn't far left.

like I said, maybe in US politics he seems far left but in most of Europe and South America he would be considered a moderate.

it just goes to show that nobody really likes the middle-left D's...

also people who like Bernie don't look as far as being a socialist... they just see that he's an old guy who seems to have concern for America and Americans that they can live with. he doesn't inflame people like Trump

actually it does matter.

that's like saying all conservatives/Republicans are the same and it doesn't matter where they actually fall on the political spectrum.

He's not hijacking them. He is the actual party now. He would have won the nomination had the Dems not put the fix in for Hildawg.

They didn't. They stopped him and it blew up in their faces. Now there's a power vacuum and he's the leading candidate to fill it. He's a populist, like Trump, and for now those types of people have traction with the American electorate.

I'd like to know the distinction between a socialist and a democratic socialist. Thanks in advance.

They've been far left for years now, Bernie hasn't turned them.

Well he is a US politician so that is the frame of reference we should use to judge his ideology when it comes to governance. We are still a sovereign nation.
