Bad news sells more advertising.

Plus, I know a lot of people who aren't happy unless they are miserable.....

According to the news, sports, entertainment, etc., America is a horrible, oppressive society full of violence and oppression everywhere.

I wonder why?

Haven't Liberals pretty much governed the social/cultural narrative for almost 50 years?

Why are things so bad? And, they seem to keep getting worse.

People are more miserable and aggrieved than ever.

It is almost as though we don't have any answers for what ails us or the answers that we have been working from for the last couple of decades aren't working.

Man, America is horrible. Apparently.

Funny. You could make the same arguments about conservatives. I hear constant belly aching and whining from conservatives of how things are going down the tube.

When people have too much free time on their hands, they usually find something to complain about. We have such an abundance of everything including time that it's inevitable that this will happen.

I'm pretty happy.

I also believe the idea that America is "Greatest Country On Earth" is antiquated. Though, people still hold on to it so it leads to inevitable disappointment.

Guess it all depends on which metric(s) you use to evaluate what the best country is. Sort of a personal preference I'd have to imagine.

Because the likes of Rush and Hannity push fear and hate to millions on a daily basis.

Agreed wholeheartedly.

I mean seriously. I literally had to set down my Mocha Frappucino to respond to you through my Iphone while driving my vehicle on a paved road. I figured we'd be at the point of responding telepathically by now, but nooooo.

Shits broke, man!

Most people around the world can only dream about having a life as good as we have it in the U.S.

Just the idea that we can safely drink water that comes out of the faucet in our house is unthinkable in many countries.

And too many Americans don't know it.....

I didn't know I was miserable until the news media and my politicians told me I was miserable.

And we then make the water we shite in cleaner than that available out of the faucet to probably 75% of the world's population.

Work, work, work, work, work, work, and work some more.

Americans work harder and "rest" less frequently than our peers around the world.

Oh noooooooezzz, socialism. frick that. Give me 6 weeks of vacation every year and my life would be immeasurably more enjoyable.

Our country has gotten tons right, but we couldn't care less about quality of life.

You realize people working the same job you do in those European countries have less money, less purchasing power, pay much higher taxes, less available goods and services, etc etc. Go live in England for a year. They pay a lot for those benefits.

Everything you just said is completely subjective and variable per the person, their experiences, education, demand for their profession, etc, etc.

But, you're right. I think being able to buy a TV for $1000 instead of $1300 is totally worth the shite vacations we receive, on average, compared to the rest of the world.

America: Where money is the most important thing. Ever. Where money is more important than having significantly more time to spend with one's family.

Money, money, money, moneyyyy. Moneyyyy.
