So you are saying the founding fathers thought of the world 300 years from theirs and wrote this? you are saying documents shouldnt be readjusted?

There is a mechanism made by the founding fathers to change the second amendment, pass another amendment.

So what? How is that an analogy to the rights protected by the 2nd?

Binge drinking culture among minors is analogous to the gun culture that would develop in the event the second amendment were to be curtailed. When responsible people cannot have guns, the only people who have them will be those who break the laws to have them, and likely be those who use said guns to break the law.

Equating the impact of guns to alcohol. Well played.

Because how would they "Like" friends' virtue-signaling posts on Facebook without a glass of wine in their hand, if you ban it, smartass?

That makes no sense.

I know...the negative impact of alcohol on society is magnitudes above the negative impact of guns.

Great questions. Isn’t it about 80,000 deaths a year due to alcohol related incidences? Crashes, violence, illness...

People flip their lid on tobacco taxing, its deadly effects are far greater than alcohol.

It’s mind numbing how hell bent people can be on one subject but totally disregard other, more serious issues.

Yes, 10K is just from car accidents alone.

If you add up all the other deaths due to alcohol (domestic violence, child abuse, liver failure, alcohol poisoning, etc.) the # of deaths is much, much higher.

Yet somehow this is all cool, whereas gun deaths are somehow especially horrible and must be addressed with legislation.

Exactly. Speech has changed a lot. We should restrict people’s access to freedom of speech more.

Don't give libs this idea too... That is something we already see them supporting.

For once, I would like to see a pro-gun control argument that didn't use the word "need".

Readjust all you want, but, remember, the document in question is the Constitution of the United States. You aren't going to amend the Second Amendment with a simple majority vote.

The Founding Fathers did, in fact, think ahead, which why there is a process they put in place to make changes. They also had the foresight to make this process very difficult so that the whims of the day would not weaken the foundation upon which this country was built.
