The man made $100's of millions firing people on "The Apprentice"? Also, Sessions tried to give his resignation a few months ago but was denied by Trump. I'm the last person that wants to defend Sessions here, but why can't the President sack up?

Final Point, if Trump does get his way with Sessions will McConnell go into recess in August so Trump can put another AG in office during Senate Recess? Playing hypothetical here but if Trump can avoid another messy senate confirmation for his choice of AG then he probably wouldn't mind appointing.

He could fire him if he wanted to. Maybe he doesn't really want to and this is his way of telling Sessions to get to work.

Not according to Trump? Sessions would have never been appointed AG if Trump knew he was going to recuse himself. Those are the words out of Trumps mouth.

He's not really mad at sessions this is all a confabulation totally planned by T R U M P, and Sessions is in on it.

Because there's no reason to. He just wants him to resign.

So we shouldn't take Trump at his word?

So what's this game about?

So do you think he's asked him to resign? If so, I imagine he would've refused. Why would that be?

No idea, but I have to assume this is an 11D chess move or else he really is just a completely unhinged moron.

Wouldn't congress have to approve a new AG? Is there someone they all like and would fasttrack himself/herself?

Okay, but he first needs McConnell to end the session (no pun intended)? This move is usually done when the opposition party is in power.

Are Republicans cool with Trump killing the investigation through a recess appointment?

Yes but a recess appointment is only good for a year before congress has to approve them. The only reason to place another AG in place is to kill the Mueller Investigation.

Guess we'll see. Sessions is probably in on it. Loyalty. Timing will be everything.
