Why do liberals continue to support open borders if they claim it's not for votes?

Honest question, why? Epic failures all over Europe as a result of the same things you want in America. Why would you want that here?
And if that's what you want, wouldn't it be easier for you to just move there so you can enjoy your beliefs? I mean, they let everyone in so don't give me that as an excuse

Mostly because I'm smart enough to understand that I am more likely to die from a falling Christmas tree than at the hands of terrorists, and I care about the well being of people enough to not let the unlikely threat of terrorism change my mind about their well being.

Because liberals want to believe Islam is just another religion but has been unjustly targeted. They pay zero attention to the fact most believe in Sharia, that being gay is illegal, and Muslim women are the most oppressed women in the world. A Gay liberal woman would be raped, lashed and killed in the ME.

Glad you have such a heart for being a humanitarian. But let me ask you, why is the place they're coming from in such shambles? And if the people are leaving there to better their lives like you say, then why are the places they're moving to becoming shitholes?

Why is it that all the neighboring countries, some of which are incredibly wealthy and sparsely populated, do not offer refuge to these people?
Most of the decent, honest refugees want to stay in their home country. Maybe we should help them in that way instead of bringing them over here

Violent crimes committed against American citizens at the hands of other American citizens is happening at a rate so exponentially higher that I'm not sure it could actually be calculated.

I agree with this. Those two things are not mutually exclusive. It's not like I'm advocating for going and recruiting them to come here.

Please show me where anyone is advocating for "open borders."
Recognizing that we haven't enforced immigration law for 30 years and you have children and families caught in the middle is not wanting "open borders."

From January of 2006 through the end of 2016, there were a total of 7 documented terror attacks in Europe.
I will concede that the most recent ones have been very bad, and have garnered a lot of media attention.
However, the overall number is still incredibly low.
