That was the first example I thought of, she knew what transitioning on active duty would have done to her reputation and to the collegial atmosphere of the Teams. And by all accounts she has been widely accepted doing it after retiring.

I believe it illustrates that one might have the aptitude to be in the military and still have a mental illness

I watched the video on this guy and I think there is a really good chance that a screw was knocked loose at some point during his time as a seal. Those guys are put thru some intense mental and physical stress. How the vast majority of those guys are able to go back to normal life is a testament to how mentally strong they actually are.
